7 1/2 lifelong learning habits

So as you will notice, one of my personal not-so-great habits is my indecisiveness…that is why you may notice me talking about more than one of the learning habits that I am good at and not so good at. Not that I don’t know what it is that I want…the issue is that I want everything. (Poor grammar is another one of my attributes, which you will quickly get used to.)

So, I am definitely good at play (I think) and I am also good at accepting responsibility for my own learning. I try to fit in as much training and education as possible, as diverse as it may be, even if I don’t retain it all. The learning habits that I’m not great at are having confidence in myself as a competent, effective learner (pretty self explanatory) and using technology to my advantage.

Using technology to my advantage, I think, is my greatest downfall…so this should be a very helpful course. I’m a cut and paste kinda gal…and I mean literally…I print a picture, crop and alter manually (yes, with my hands and real glue) and then scan the image back into the computer. repeat as necessary. And I rely on my tech savvy friends way too much. I mean, I only figured out how to text someone like a week or so ago and I still have no clue how to use the proper capitalization. (one message is in all caps, the next only has caps where necessary, the next is all lowercase…it’s all a mystery to me.)

Consequently, I think 23 Things will definitely be super helpful to me. I’m excited to get started and learn how to do all the stuff I’m always asking my friends to do for me. :)
